If you go for a modelling/makeover experience day do they let you keep the makeup on?

Ok so this may sound a little stupid but it's my 18th birthday on the 17th of May and my mum got me a modelling experience day which includes a hair cut, style, makeover and modelling experience. It starts at 1:15pm and will not finish for around 5 hours (finishing at around 6:15pm) However the place that does it is 45 mins away from home and my birthday venue starts at half 7! So I was hoping that I could walk out with the makeup and style. I thought that would be fine until my friend tried to convince me they would make me take the makeup off before I left...

Has anyone been to one of these experience days before?

Thanks! If you go for a modelling/makeover experience day do they let you keep the makeup on?
you can keep the make up on, i went with a friend once and the amount of make they put on your face is unreal, they do it so it shows better on the pics, maybe not all are the same, but if they are im not sure you wouldn't want to go out with that amount of make up on, my friend looked like a clown, but the pics were amazing though, really worth the money. Hope you enyoy yourself im sure you will and Happy birthday. If you go for a modelling/makeover experience day do they let you keep the makeup on?
they will definatly NOT take your makeup of. Someone payed for it and they are not taking it off. Its like if you got a hair but then before you left they gave you exstenstions so you looked the way you were before
Haha your friend is either paranoid or jealous, you paid for it, they want people to see you leaving their establishment looking good, why would they make you take it off? Definitely not and lol at regrowing your hair!
did your mom pay for this day?

are they cutting your hair? styling?

you get to keep that dontcha?

ive never done this (it sounds hella fun tho) but im guessing theyll let you keep it on
they wont.
That's awesome! I'd love to do that for my birthday. It would be really dumb if they made you take it off, I doubt they will. Since your getting a haircut, did your friend say they would make you re-grow your hair to?
Well first off, have a happy birthday.

Second off, they'll absoloutly let you keep it on. Just think, you're paying them so you can market them well. Once your pay for the look, it's yours. If they will tweak it for you once you're done I'm not so sure, they may be nice because it's your birthday. However, they WILL let you wear you hair and makeup, theydon't want to go through the trouble on washing it all off.

  • Help me! I have a modeling interview on Sunday! What should I do with my makeup and hair?

Okay any little tips would help me here. I am new to modeling but have always admired it. I have watched America's Next Top Model so many times. I have picked up tips through it, FIERCE! LOL Anyway I would like to impress the agency. They told me to dress comfy and casual.

What should I do with my makeup?

How should I wear my hair?

    What should I wear?

thanks!Help me! I have a modeling interview on Sunday! What should I do with my makeup and hair?
They will probably take your measurements and a polaroid of your body and your face, so wear something simple like jeans and a T-shirt so they can clearly see the contours of your body. Same goes for the face and hair. They will need to know what you look like without make-up or hair treatments.Help me! I have a modeling interview on Sunday! What should I do with my makeup and hair?
You NEVER EVER want to say ';Fierce';.... You will sound like a tranny. that's what trannies say.
they wanna see you looking very natural

    so, most likely,

none or only a little makeup

hair either up or down (in a natural way, not anything that would take longer than 15 minutes)

and just wear form fitting jeans and a solid colored t shirt or tank top

    well....yeah...'good luck :)
    Do your makeup natural

    do wavy curls

and wear something comfy like they said

wear your favourite pair of jeans and you favourite sweater/t-shirt

your going to be nervous and if you pick something you know looks great and you feel great in

your more likely to come across well

and hey its one less thing to worry about!

    %26lt;3
what kind of modeling is it..

    go for a natural look

maybe tie your hair up so they can see your face?

    something cute but simple
we need to see a pic before we can give you advice
Be careful - most real agencies do not see models on Sundays. The ones who have weekend appointments are either expensive schools or scam agencies - both of which are only out for your money and will never get you a job

Remember, a legitimate agency will never charge you anything out of your own pocket - not classes, competitions, portfolios or anything else
skinny jeans, white t-shirt, %26amp; very light makeup (they want to see the real YOU)

%26amp; just put your hair down

    LOOK NATURAL
Pull your hair back into a neat ponytail and only wear a light coat of mascara. Models don't go to interviews all dolled up, they want to see you, the beauty you were born with. Keep the hair out of your face. Keep it natural. Good Luck!

What makeup is used to get that perfect white skin that models have in pictures?

I'm a starting out model photographer and I was jus wondering what kind of make up is used to get that ';flawless perfect white skin'; that you see in some pictures. I know of course some might be good photoshopping but still I know there is a makeup out just not sure what its called....What makeup is used to get that perfect white skin that models have in pictures?
Check MAC since that's what a lot of makeup artists use. To get a really pale complexion, you need to find a good full coverage foundation, topped by a light powder.

How do Victoria's Secrets models get such a gooodlooking glowing skin with no spots without using much makeup?

Pictures can be computer corrected in whatever way makes the model look better. They do use makeup. This is applied by professional makeup artists who are very good at what they do.How do Victoria's Secrets models get such a gooodlooking glowing skin with no spots without using much makeup?
    you're crazy....it's ALL make-up.

watch america's next top model. those gals look ghastly without make-up on, but they look GREAT in their photos!
Behind the scenes at one of their runway shows, they showed that they were body-painting them with this gold paint.
they all have fake tans and are airbrushed using photo editing software, and then make the rest of us feel like crap
    Adobe Photoshop...
well first of all they are professonally photographed and retouched... as for their tans, they are probably fake tanned professionally as well like airbrushed or something
    Photoshop!
What makes you think they don't use makeup. And you can do such wonderful things with photography.
the spot lights shinning on them

they use ALOT of makeup//so says tyra banks and she was a model for VS

How do i start looking good without makeup again? I need to for modeling!?

I wanted to get into some modeling, but i think i wear a little to much makeup right now, and i look really good naturally but my complexion has done a little downhill lately.

Since i started to wear foundation about 7 months ago i dont look as good naturally anymore.

I slowed down on using foundation and only use it about once a week,

and i am constantly cleansing my skin and washing it, but i still have a couple red acne scars on my face, and my skin is smooth but i don't feel like i look to good without foundation, and now since i wore foundation in the summer the SPF in it blocked the sun and now my face's skintone doesnt match my body's without me using the foundation, so should i start to go tanning or will this defeat the whole purpose of trying to keep my skin healthy and natural?

I really want to go for a natural tan look like Keira Knightly.

Any recommendations on a way i could get rid of acne scars and keep my complexion clear looking without using foundation, and what do you think about tanning? Any help would be great, Thank You! (:How do i start looking good without makeup again? I need to for modeling!?
Your best bet is to see a dermatologist who will recommend the right products for your skintype, and also help you get rid of the acne scars, which may require a light chemical peel or microdermabrasion. It's less expensive to go to a doctor and get the right regimen than trying hundreds of different face washes, creams etc to find what works for you.

Don't get a suntan - it can create hyperpigmentation but also lines and dryness. Try using a gradual facial self-tanner - many have moisturisers in them, or just a tinted moisturizer and bronzing powder for a glowHow do i start looking good without makeup again? I need to for modeling!?
first off, keira knightleys skin isnt natural - she almost wears makeup foundation every single day for her job - creating movies, photoshoots, premieres, etc.

try switching your foundation to a tinted moisturizer - it works just as well but its also much better for your skin.

remember to drink lots of water (8 glasses/2litres/16oz) daily to hydrate your skin, moisturize twice a day and exfoliate twice a week.
Bio-Oil works really well for evening out your skin tone/lightening acne scars.

    It's available at Walgreen's.

    Don't go tanning...

This would damage your skin and create freckles/sunspots.

If you're short on time, try using sunless tanning lotion, but only use it on the parts that it is necessary (the lighter parts).

This might turn out a little fake though.

Use a tinted moisturizer with an SPF, it will even out your skintone, protect your skin from the sun, and it looks a lot more natural than foundation.
number one, dont tan if you want your skint o look better for MODELING. you are just going to ruin it.

What you should invest in is a very good cleanser, and a moisturizer with self tanner. This makes your skin not only cclear and smooth, but not pastey white, just use every other day or so. I do every day but i live in Vegas so i am pretty tan so to keep up with extremely tan skin i would say do it every morning.

Just of course after you put it on, let it dry. Dont go and yank your white T over your head afterwards or your T is gonna match your face! hehe
STOP washing your face so much!!

I have acne, and my skin gets amazingly clear when I ONLY wash it twice a day, at the very most. Use a gentle cleanser also, don't use harsh chemicals, they will only accentuate the blemishes.

Honestly, just stop using the foundation for a little while. It's best to stay out of the sun and wear sunscreen, but your skin will pick up enough color from just everyday life if you stop wearing the foundation. That will also probably even out your skin tone.
Wash your face with natural products 2 times a day (morning and night)...scrub 1-2 times a week...drink lots of water and eat healthy...moisturize your face after every time you wash it... for the day use a spf oil free moisturizer and at night try a bit of oilive oil and tea tree oil (blend well and only a bit)...use a mask 1-2 times a week on the days that you are not going to scrub...

tanning is so bad for your skin...

it makes your skin dry and it speeds up the process of getting wrinkles...

I'd use a ';green'; (natural) Bronzer if you want a tan. Keira is pretty pale so I'm sure she only uses makeup to achieve that ';tanned'; look.

Doesn't the tons of makeup and personal care products that models and celebrities use on a daily basis...?

...wear out their skin and hair in the short-run as well as their overall health in the long-run? Aren't they at higher risk of cancer and other diseases from all of that chemical exposure? I always wondered this, considering all of the chemicals and harmful ingredients that are used in today's makeup and personal care products.Doesn't the tons of makeup and personal care products that models and celebrities use on a daily basis...?
Yes definitely. Celebrities are under constant pressure to look their best so they are always applying makeup, doing their hair, and all that. From all the chemical exposure, they are at higher risk.

Yet celebrities live luxurious lifestyles, beyond our imaginations, so their access to the best of the best of everything (the highest quality food, and health care) could kind of make up for all of the carcinogenic stuff they use.

Also, if celebrities are happier than average people, then that could mean they are at a less risk of cancer, since happiness may ward off cancer (thats what I read).

So in some sense you are right, but you also have to consider other positive aspects in their lives.Doesn't the tons of makeup and personal care products that models and celebrities use on a daily basis...?
...no? The only chemical exposure you really get cancer and whatnot from is chemicals that give off radiation. Not all chemicals are harsh, I don't know why no one realizes this. And I'm SURE they wouldn't put carcinogens in beauty products.

    Interesting thought, though :)

What foundation/skin makeup is popular with catwalk/runway models? any insider secret tips? please see pics?

I'm looking for full flawless, opaque, poreless coverage yet still healthy %26amp; glowing, not matt. I notice the catwalk/runway models always get it right. I realise most of it comes down to good genetics %26amp; healthy diet. But wondering what i can use in terms of makeup? What brand of foundation or other makeup products they may use under foundation or over, to get this look in these pics:

This is the same model on the left- still got naturaly beautiful skin but gets rosey %26amp; a little greasy like the rest of us! I'm the same %26amp; love the look of her skin in the above pics.

Normally you use something like MAC Strobe Cream under the foundation to illuminate the skin, then cover with whichever foundation will give you the right finish - dewy, matt, etc. MAC and Laura Mercier are the foundations of choice for professional makeup artists

Use a cream blush to give a glow on the cheeks, topped by a highlighter cream or powder on the top of the cheekbonesWhat foundation/skin makeup is popular with catwalk/runway models? any insider secret tips? please see pics?
I'm also searching for a dewy full coverage perfect foundation.

MAC studio sculpt foundation was used all over the runways this year, I haven't tried it yet but apparently it's easily built up, light and dewy.

For the whole radiant healthy glow thing, try Benefits That Gal, it's a pinky sheeny primer, mix it with your moisturiser before you use your foundation and you'll look much more healthy. On the first picture you give, the model is obviously wearing a cheekbone highlighter. Benefit high beam is my favourite, it gives the look shown in the picture.

If you find the perfect foundation please let me know! in the mean time I hope I helped xx
She has natural perfect skin and has no flaws to cover which is half the battle.

BareEscentuals do minerals that cover really well and don't look as if your too done up............they have one called 'multi-tasking minerals' it covers evry imperfection i have.......you can then apply the minerals foundation over it if you wish or if you really need to. You can get in on QVC.
it is a well known fact that beauty industry professionals use MAC on models, celebrities, etc... they do a studio fix line aimed at getting flawless, luminous skin, i suggest this as a good base: http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/templates/鈥?/a>
