Since 1961, CoverGirl has been a fashionable cosmetic line, competitively priced, with formulas that are clean, fresh and natural, and that are good for the skin. The franchise has grown from a mere six products in 1961 to a full line of cosmetics. The CoverGirl brand began as a ';medicated face make-up'; in only three shades of liquid and three shades of pressed powder. Tube make-up and brush-on blush were added soon after. By the late 60's, the CoverGirl brand was established in mass-market retail outlets as the number one selling face foundation make-up. Procter %26amp; Gamble acquired CoverGirl as part of Noxell in 1989.What is the history of the brand covergirl makeup and information about it for a report?
It goes back to when I was in my early teens, so I was probably in the middle of their target area at the time. (I'll be 59 next week.) The idea was that it was actually good for your skin, which we all knew makeup was not. I personally think that the best they did was to be somewhat less bad for your skin. I think it was created by the same people that made Noxzema, because it smelled a lot like Noxzema at the beginning.
As to information for a report, I'd be willing to bet they have their own web site, and lots of information for you.
